坪山中心化学部设计了质子迁移催化(proton-shuttling catalysis,即质子的空间调控)新策略,实现一系列高度不对称反应,进而设计多位点催化中间体参与选择性质子化(multi-site catalytic species,即质子的时间调控),解锁一系列未知的化学反应。并在此基础上将质子选择性迁移概念应用于其他基团的迁移反应中,为重要的药物片段及骨架的合成提供新的思路和技术手段。主要研究方向包括:(1) 质子迁移催化剂的开发;(2) 多位点反应活性中间体的研究;(3) 基团迁移反应的研究;(4) 合成方法学应用于靶向抗肿瘤、代谢性疾病、传染性疾病的药物化学研究。
